About Us

According to the UN, access to Water is a basic human right! But in India water scarcity is the main issue for almost half of the Population.

The Water Literacy Foundation (WLF) was established as a Public Charitable Trust on 5th September 2005 to improve the water situation in India. The WLF visualizes the country to become a water-efficient nation. Targeting this aim, the founder of WLF, Mr. Ayyappa Masagi, has been working passionately on water conservation for more than 22 years.

OUR VISION is to transform India into a water efficient nation by 2025 in which all people are able to enjoy their basic human right to have access to clean water.

OUR MISSION is to establish a balance between water usage and water replenishment by means of bringing basic knowledge of water conservation practices that inspire and inculcate a culture of water efficiency.
